How about a rock n’ roll theme for your Hudson Valley Wedding? This fun couple bought these gold, decorative plates and had round labels made to attach to them. The “record label” contained their wedding info and First Dance song. Very clever idea!

Allison and John’s Wedding at the Mohonk Mountain House in New Paltz, NY

Allison and John’s Spring wedding took place at the majestic Mohonk Mountain House. What an extraordinarily magnificent venue with it’s charming Victorian castle surrounded by Lake Mohonk and 2200 acres of forest in every direction. This truly enchanting place felt like you had just walked unto a movie set.

Allison and John’s wedding party was introduced to the sounds of Marvin Gaye’s classic, “How Sweet It Is.” Allison and John came rocking into the reception room to, “The Power of Love,” by Huey Lewis, followed by their romantic First Dance, “Can’t Help Falling in Love,” by the King of Rock, Elvis Presley.

The level of service at Mohonk was exceptional and the culinary expertise was simply elegant and delicious! We also enjoyed the pleasure of working with the lovely and talented photographer, Jean Kallina, who is a frequent favorite of couples at Mohonk Mountain House. Her website can be found at:

Videography was provided by the unobtrusive team of Mike and Jenn from http://www.beautifulmemoriesvideony.com/. Guitarist extraordinaore, Jeff Armstrong (jklmjams@aol.com), played an assortment of Classic Rock and American Songbook tunes for the ceremony and cocktail hour.

We had such a great time entertaining Allison and John’s family and guests. One of the highlights was watching Allison’s adorable little niece lead the dancing to some current Top 40 favorites.

Congratulations and all the best to Allison and John!
